CITY WIDE CLEANUP is this Thursday, April 30. Crews will make one pass through town. All items must be at the curb by 8am Thursday, April 30.
ITEMS WE WILL NOT PICK UP: normal household trash, construction/demolition material, hazardous waste, tires.
Items may also be taken to the Washington County Landfill on April 30, May 1 and 2nd at no charge.

Oet tags must be purchased annually prior to June 1. The last business day in May is May 29, 2026. In order to avoid late fees, make sure your cats and/or dogs are registered with the City by 5 pm on May 29, 2026.
Tags can be purchased at City Hall during business hours upon presentation of a current rabies certificate and fees of $5 per animal if they are spayed/neutered or $10 per animal if not spayed/neutered.

Just a reminder, the online bill pay option from the City's website is still out of commission. Payments can still be made electronically over the phone by calling City Hall at 785-325-2284 during business hours, or by visiting in person.
As always, you have the option to set up ACH automatic withdrawal payments. Paperwork for that can be obtained at City Hall.
