The retailers' sales tax for purchases made inside the City of Washington is currently 7.3%, comprised of a 5.3% state tax, a 1% county tax, and a 1% city tax.
The State of Kansas recently passed a 1% state sales tax increase, so the total retailers' sales tax will increase to 8.3% effective July 1, 2010.
