Cemetery
In 2002, a cemetery directory was installed at the Washington City Cemetery. It was placed in honor of Ben Brungardt, a lifelong Washington citizen who worked as the cemetery sexton for many years.
The directory is lighted, and features four rotating drums, which hold the listings of each individual burial in the cemetery.
Corrections may be submitted to Caroline at City Hall by calling (785) 325-2284 or by emailing washems@washingtonks.net.
