April 1 -- April Fool's Day April -- City of Washington Clean-up days. Washington County Landfill will be accepting trash free of charge April . City crews will pick up April ONLY! CITY OF WASHINGTON CREWS WILL ONLY MAKE ONE PICKUP BEGINNING April ! ANYTHING NOT OUT AT THE CURB WHEN THE CREWS GO BY WILL NOT BE PICKED UP! NOTICE: City of Washington residents may take tree limbs, brush, and yard waste to the Washington County Landfill at any time during normal business hours FREE OF CHARGE! May -- 5:30pm-6:30 pm. Rabies clinic @ 4-H Building. Rabies & Distemper vaccinations may be obtained as well as City dog/cat licenses. Rabies shots will be $10.00; Distemper shots will be $20.00; city licenses will be $5.00 per male/female animal and $2.50 for unsexed animals. Licenses are required for all dogs/cats in the city limits, and due June 1. Any licenses purchased after June 1 are subject to late charge of $15.00. May 4 - 7 pm. May Fete. Washington County High School. May 5 -- Cinco de Mayo May 13 -- Mother's Day. May -- Limb/brush clean-up. City crews will pick up limbs/brush. All debris must be placed parallel and as close to the curb as possible. Limbs must be less than 12' long. City crews will make ONE trip through town, beginning at the south end and working north. May 26 -- Washington Pool opens. May 28 -- City Office Closed in honor of Memorial Day. |

Parade Saturday, open theme; co-ed sand volley ball tournament all day; kids games begin at 10 a.m. at the platform; entertainment at 7:30 p.m., pork supper a la carte; and dance from 9 p.m.-1 a.m. Sunday morning church services begin at 10:45 a.m. at Methodist Church.
